Portrait of a Showgirl hen. Showgirls as sometimes referred to as Naked Neck Silkies since they are a crossbreed between a silkie and a turken (naked neck). Just as the name depicts their feathers are soft like silk and they have few, if any, feathers on their necks.
Showgirls make great pets as they are typically very sweet and gentle. I love how her beautiful black skin stands in contrast to her vibrant blue "ears" and pure white silkie feathers. She is a peculiar and amazing chicken!
